Engage Talent Partners are working with our Aberdeen-based client to recruit for an Accounts Assistant.
Our client is an established accountancy practice that has experienced significant growth in recent years, including substantial acquisitions and team expansion. This role is part of an established team and involves preparing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Utilising financial and cloud-based accounting software.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Analysing and reviewing VAT returns.
- Communicating with clients and assisting with their queries as required.
- Assisting senior colleagues in delivering exceptional service.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Offering guidance and feedback to junior team members.
- Contributing to the financial success of the department.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development and learning.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of accounts experience gained in a practice environment. While a professional qualification such as AAT or ACCA is desirable, our client welcomes applications from those who are qualified by experience. You will have excellent communication skills and proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
