Engage Talent Partners are supporting a leading subsea engineering and manufacturing organisation with the recruitment of a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team delivering technically complex electro-mechanical products for demanding offshore and industrial environments. The role will involve supporting projects from concept through to manufacture, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across design, production and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of allocated mechanical design scopes across both live projects and development activities.
- Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings and engineering documentation using Autodesk Inventor.
- Support the integration of mechanical components within complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Carry out engineering calculations and validation activities using recognised analysis tools.
- Collaborate with testing and production teams to resolve technical challenges during build and qualification stages.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and calculation packages to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure designs are optimised for manufacturability, reliability and performance.
- Maintain controlled technical documentation and version management within design systems.
You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and bring previous experience working in a mechanical design role within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong experience using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software is essential, alongside the ability to carry out engineering calculations and interpret technical requirements to develop practical design solutions. You will be comfortable working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, managing competing priorities within project environments, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
