Engage Talent Partners are working on a retained basis with our client to recruit a Financial Planner to their Glasgow team.
Our client is an established financial planning and advisory business who have experienced significant growth over the last few years.
The role works within the financial planning team of the business and reports to the Directors. Your role will involve delivering financial planning advice to existing and new clients, building and maintaining trusted relationships and making sure each client receives tailored and appropriate advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive, personalised financial planning advice and recommendations to clients.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised financial plans.
- Manage and develop an allocated client bank and identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding meetings to gain a thorough understanding of clients' financial circumstances, priorities, objectives, and attitude to risk.
- Work closely with the Paraplanning and Client Services teams to ensure recommendations are implemented efficiently and clients receive a seamless experience.
- Prepare for client meetings and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client interactions, recommendations, and advice.
- Develop new business opportunities.
- Maintain technical competence through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and ensure all regulatory learning requirements are met.
The ideal candidate will be diploma qualified , have strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and retirement planning, and very strong relationship building skills as essential. Exceptional understanding of FCA regulations and proven experience in providing financial planning advice is also necessary. An awareness of estate planning, inheritance tax planning, and business protection, along with familiarity with cashflow modelling and CRM software would be desirable but is not essential.
