Engage Talent Partners are working on a retained search assignment to source and recruit a Sales Manager for our client based in Aberdeen.
Our client operates in the Subsea sector and provide a range of equipment to support subsea infrastructure testing and monitoring. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth both in the UK and overseas.
Key responsibilities:
- Actively and energetically promote rental sales of the Company’s tools and services to business customers in the subsea oil & gas industry.
- Manage a team of Technical Sales Engineers, and regional Account Managers in the UK and abroad.
- Liaise closely with the Sales & Marketing, Operations, Production, Engineering, Administration, and Accounts teams, to ensure that customers receive a seamless transition through the enquiry, order and after-sales processes.
- Formulate and execute a plan to meet, or exceed, annual sales targets.
- Ensure that all activities of the sales team are conducted in line with the Company’s policies on quality, health & safety, environmental protection, and business ethics.
- Coordinating day-to-day sales activities to ensure that enquiries and sales leads are processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- Reviewing and approving quotations and proposals prior to issue, ensuring that technical and commercial due diligence has been carried out appropriately.
- Reviewing customer Terms & Conditions and negotiating appropriate exceptions and deviations that protect the Company’s interests where applicable.
- Delivering sales presentations at face-to-face meetings, and remote meetings, with potential customers, as well as at trade shows and conferences. Following appropriate training, the Sales Manager will be able to present a comprehensive overview of the Company’s products and call on support from technical colleagues as and when required.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with progressive experience in business development and a proven track record of driving the sales process from initial lead to close out. You will ideally work in the subsea arena with a good understanding of the subsea landscape and comfortable having technical conversations with customers and internal stakeholders. Consideration will be given to candidates in the wider oil & gas sector looking to establish themselves in the subsea sector. Some travel will be required however not frequently.
