Engage talent Partners are working with our Aberdeen based client to recruit a Graduate Design Engineer to join their Engineering Team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be assisting in the development of custom design software, the management of engineering data, and taking product design through its full lifecycle, from concept to production. You will also be responsible for producing standard and bespoke products as per client specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- To design products from initial concept to production.
- To produce information for production department.
- To assist with the development of custom design software.
- To formulate test procedures.
- To define and supervise validation trials.
- To contribute to the continuing effort to reduce costs.
- To assist with the management of engineering data using engineering data management software.
- Contribute towards the development of the department and the company's product range.
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate holding a degree in either mechanical or structural engineering, with mechanical being preferable, have a working knowledge of 3D CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, and must be ambitious and driven to succeed as essential. Experience within a manufacturing environment, membership of a professional institution, and strong competence in Microsoft programs, such as Word and Excel would be beneficial but is not essential to the role.
