We are supporting our client to recruit for a Junior Fire and Safety Engineer to join the company's projects and design team, based south of Aberdeen.

This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing client projects from the initial kick-off meeting through to design, manufacturing, and installation stages, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and clients. You will also assist with the initial project proposals, contributing technical and cost information, and offer engineering support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in producing technical reports, workpacks and procedures, including engineering calculations, hydraulic analysis, and gas system calculations.
- Support the development of company design systems, standards and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute ideas for the development of new and existing products.
- Support proposal and project work, ensuring tasks are completed within tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to help deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical and commercial input during the preparation of proposals.
- Help manage interfaces with other design contractors and suppliers.
- Communicate with the workshop and engineering manager regarding the assembly and testing of package and proprietary equipment.
- Ensure all documentation used during or resulting from any projects is controlled according to company quality procedures.
- Participate in occasional site/offshore visits as required by project execution needs.
Applicants must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline and have knowledge/experience in utilising design software, carrying out calculations and analysis. Ideally you will have 3+ years of experience in project and design engineering.
