Engage Talent Partners are working with our client to source and recruit for an Operations Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.
Our oil and gas client is an established company and going through exceptional growth therefore it is an exciting time to join. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the client's manufacturing facility, tracing performance progress, and manage KPI's across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily production schedules, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to avoid stockouts or overages.
- Input all production costs onto the system and jobs onto the data base.
- Conduct a contract review on all incoming orders and maintain day to day contact with customers.
- Place purchase orders as required and liaise with Procurement to maintain re-order levels.
- Create job packages and install onto the ERP system.
- Assist in implementing and improving operational procedures.
- Assist in implementing and improving operational procedures.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports.
- Support the onboarding and scheduling of shop floor staff and contractors.
- Address and escalate any operational issues that may impact delivery timelines or product quality.
- Attend briefing meetings and liaise with other departments to collate information and expedite materials.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an administrative role, knowledge of KPIs, an awareness of methodologies like Six Sigma or 5S principles, and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations would be desirable, though are not essential. The successful candidate will also be able to exhibit strong communication skills, a problem solving mindset, and the ability to work under pressure and independently.
