Engage Talent Partners are working in partnership with a client to identify and recruit a Project Coordinator for a role based in Aberdeen.
Our client operates across the Oil & Gas, Renewables and Defence sectors and this is an exciting time to join the organisation. The company has experienced a strong year so far, securing several significant contract awards, and has clear plans to continue expanding over the coming years.
In this role, you will support the project engineering team by helping to organise, monitor and coordinate project activities. The position will involve scheduling tasks, tracking project progress, liaising with stakeholders across the business and ensuring that timelines, testing requirements, resources and deliveries are aligned with project plans. You will also play a key role in maintaining project documentation and reporting to support the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal departments (engineering, production, procurement, etc.) as well as external stakeholders (such as third-party inspectors) to help ensure projects progress according to schedule.
- Support procurement processes by monitoring purchase orders and ensuring materials are delivered in line with project timelines.
- Confirm that required materials and components are available and prepared for testing activities.
- Highlight potential risks, delays, or issues to the Project Engineers when identified.
- Monitor and record project changes or deviations, escalating concerns where required to enable timely resolution.
- Produce and maintain project updates, meeting notes and other documentation, ensuring information is distributed accurately and promptly.
- Participate in project meetings, recording actions and ensuring follow-up items are tracked through to completion.
- Provide a central communication point for the project team, helping to ensure clear coordination between internal teams and external partners.
The ideal candidate will hold an HNC/HND qualification, preferably in a relevant discipline such as engineering, project management, business or manufacturing. Previous experience in a similar coordination or support role would be beneficial, along with familiarity with project documentation, scheduling processes and working within multidisciplinary teams.
