Engage Talent Partners are supporting a specialist engineering manufacturer with the recruitment of a Senior QC Technician based in Aberdeen.
This is a key role within the quality function, supporting inspection and testing activities across multiple stages of production while providing technical guidance to technicians and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements and recognised quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspection activities throughout production to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Perform electrical and functional testing using a range of specialist test equipment.
- Verify completed assemblies prior to release to ensure required quality standards are achieved.
- Support investigation and close-out of non-conformance reports in line with quality management procedures.
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor adherence to standard operating procedures and support updates where required.
- Contribute to internal and external audit preparation activities.
- Support alignment between quality inspection and production priorities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior inspection personnel.
You will have previous experience working in a QC inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment and be confident interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation. Experience using electrical testing equipment and precision measurement tools is important, along with familiarity with quality management systems and non-conformance processes. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues within a team environment, contributing to audit activities and continuous improvement initiatives, and working accurately in a fast-paced production setting with strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
