Engage Talent Partners are working with our client to recruit a Valve Technician, based in Aberdeen.
Our client is a well-established company with a global presence, currently experiencing a positive phase of growth. In this role, you will report to the Workshop Supervisor and be responsible for inspecting, testing, reporting on, and repairing valves, both in-house and on-site.
Key responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for safe and efficient working practices in the workshop.
- Help identify and report hazards to promote a safe work environment and a positive health and safety culture.
- Follow workshop procedures, operating guidelines, and risk assessments for everyone's safety.
- Perform the disassembly, inspection, testing, assembly, and commissioning of valves to required standards, both on-site and offshore.
- Complete repair documentation, both in-house and for clients, as needed.
- Conduct third-party witnessed testing when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Support the Workshop Supervisor during busy periods by completing repair records and inspection reports.
The ideal candidate will have completed an apprenticeship or hold an HNC in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of two years’ experience in valve repair and maintenance. Candidates with expertise in control, relief, isolation and actuation are particularly desirable. You should have a strong understanding of valve instrumentation, including pneumatic/electronic (DVC) and be proficient with the tools and equipment needed for daily valve repair tasks. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
